In Kyoto, artisans have studied the ancient art of botanical dyeing — a tradition known as Shin-Manyo-zome — for generations. Each stole in this set is dyed by hand using this craft, honoring the colors of Japanese nature.
One stole is dyed with ceramic charcoal from Shizuoka Prefecture, yielding a refined, timeless gray. The other is dyed with a blend of natural botanicals — madder root, marigold, and more — producing warm, gentle earth tones inspired by the Japanese seasons.
Together, they are more than accessories. They are a piece of Japanese artisan culture, worn close to the skin. Dyed in Kyoto. Made in Japan.
